Bleeding ulcer worry!?

I have just had some results back from the doctors and it seems i am bleeding internally I presented myself last week at the doctors with severe stomach burning pain that went into my back. They have found blood in my stool samples. They think i may have a bleeding ulcer as i have been diagnosed with these through a endoscopy last year. I am booked in for a endoscopy and a colonoscopy next Tuesday. My question is while i am waiting, is the bleed going to get worse as i have been told once a ulcer bleeds the pain almost goes away. Am i at risk of getting peritonitis in the mean time?
