How long does it take to pick up an Irish accent?

I'm 21, and want to pick up an Irish accent. How long does it take to pick one up if I go and live in Ireland? What if alternatively, I just watched a bunch of movies with Irish actors like Colin Farrell, or Sean Patrick Flannery, and mimicked them?
