Can GOP opposition to Obamacare politically backfire on them?
Can GOP opposition to Obamacare politically backfire on GOP in 2012 elections, if supreme court blocks it? The ranks of uninsured and unemployed are swelling. Most people without health insurance are looking forward to Obama help and there are millions of such people. Since repubs have said it status quo is good, that argument is sure not accepted by millions who can't get health insurance. As you know political opinion changes very fast. Just look at iraq war. When it was first launched war support stood at 75% and conservatives were cheering. Then the iraq war backfired politically on GOP and support sunk. Conservatives don't change position, but other change it fast. Continuing fierce opposition all the time, doesn't necessarily help.
