Can you offer me tips on cleaning the stains off of my cement balcony in my apartment?

there are all sorts of random stains on our balcony. soda, dog pee (from our 'housebreaking' days), spit... just all sorts of gross stuff. i'm rarely on our balcony, so i didn't notice it until today. i poured a dawn/hot water mixture on it and allowed it to puddle. is this going to be enough? if not, what else should i do?
