HAS QUALITY VIEWING GONE FOREVER?

In the past few months i have developed chronic insomnia and so late at nite, i turn on the tube and out of 100 channels nothing??? When did infomercials take over after midnite? I don't count the so called "premium" channels like HBO, Showtime and Encore, someone got the bright idea to have 8 channels and rotate the same five or 6 "B" movies every 24 hours, and sadly i think tnt and tbs is trying to follow suit. It's just that i would rather turn on and see Car 54 where are you or even another brady bunch as watch those ads on enemas and real estate omg! what are we paying for ? Maybe i fell out of the demographics but it just seems to me night time is gone to hell in a hand basket..thank God i love to read!
