Since you were injured and have medical treatment, no "settlement" will even be considered until you are completely finished with your medical care. Getting a lawyer involved almost surely will delay any settlement. (usually for years). Did you consider simply letting your BF s insurance handle this instead of getting a lawyer involved at this point ?
